Goddess Gayatri is referred as the mother of all four Vedas and she is the consort of Lord Brahma. Goddess Gayatri live in surya or sun loka. She is portrayed seated on a red lotus that signifies wealth. Goddess Gayatri puja is done for well being of family members. It is performed for spiritual wisdom as Goddess Gayatri is Veda Mata.
Goddess Gayatri consists of three deities Goddess Gayatri, Saraswati and Savitri. First is master of the sense, second is the master of speech, and third is the teacher of truth. Gayatri Puja is performed for peace, success, good health, and above all spiritual enlightment.
“Om Bhoor Bhuwah Swaha; Tat-Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi; Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayaath”
The Gayatri Mantra is all supreme mantra by the sage “Vishwamitra” is also considered as the supreme mantra among all.
The lord Krishna himself said in “Bhagvat Gita “Among mantras i am Gayatri mantra. All people greatly appreciated Gayatri Mantra. People willing to attain heaven should recite this mantra at least 108 times a day.
